What it does

Clear answers to the big money questions

Start with what you know. Each part of your plan fills in as you go, and your Home page pulls it together.

Budget and spending

See where your money goes

Your pay after tax, your usual costs and what you save, with what's left over each month. Add your bank and credit card statements and Truvane sorts what you really spend.

  • Take-home pay worked out for where you live
  • Statements read on your device, never uploaded
  • Your real spending, sorted into categories
Truvane's Budget page: take-home pay, monthly spending and savings, and what's left over each month

Debt payoff

A clear road to debt-free

List your debts once and see when you'll be free of them, the interest you'll pay, and how much sooner a little extra each month gets you there.

  • Which debt to pay first, and why
  • Credit cards, loans, lines of credit and mortgages
  • The interest an extra payment saves
Truvane's Debt payoff page: a credit card and a car loan, and the date they'll be paid off

Retirement

Am I on track to retire?

Truvane tests your plan against 400 possible markets, good and bad, and shows the chance your savings last as long as you do.

  • CPP, QPP, OAS and Social Security estimated from your pay
  • RRSPs, TFSAs, 401(k)s, IRAs and workplace pensions
  • When you could stop working, and what you could spend

And more

Everything in one plan

  • A health check

How you're doing on the basics, with your next steps in order.

  • Net worth

What you own and what you owe, and how it changes over time.

  • Goals

A home, a trip or a rainy-day fund: what to set aside each month to get there.

  • Protection

How much life insurance your family would need, beside what you have.

  • Progress

A short check-in every month, or as often as you choose, milestones and a yearly review, with email reminders if you'd like them.

  • Advanced

What-ifs, where your savings should go, paying down the mortgage, buying a home, and markets since 1928.

  • Canada and the US

Every province, territory and state, in Canadian or US dollars.

  • Any device

Phone, tablet or computer. Your plan saves as you go.
